Mel-lory, I know somebody who could help you with your taxes, me, 6-ee. Turbo tax is easy to use, too. Unc Chonglim could purchase it for you using his friends and family employee discount price. Email or call me if you need help with your taxes.

By the way, setting withholdings to zer0 and getting a tax refund later actually means that you are letting the government use some of your hard earned money first. If you are depending on the refund as a form of "savings", your may want to consider opening a separate account (i.e. money market, savings or brokerage account, etc.) and have a portion of your paycheck auto deposited to this account. Money not in your checking or whatever type of account you normally withdraw money from tend to be saved and it may also serve as your emergency money. Another type of account to auto deposit into is an IRA
account.

Please feel free to give me a call, text or email if you have any tax related questions, or if you need help in doing your tax returns.

Take care,
6-ee

My advice re: taxes -- pay an accountant a few bucks to do it for you. They do it right, and the amount of time it takes you personally drops to about 2 hours, instead of a day or more.

I've always set my witholdings to 0, which means that I usually get a refund in April anyway, and the amount the accountant charges is a lot less than the refund, so it *feels* like free money, even though technically you're getting back money that was already yours.

But I think about it this way: "Accountant does my taxes. I get a refund, a bit of which goes to pay that accountant, and I don't have to learn the whole tax code." This is why people specialize in things. It's more efficient than everyone learning how to do everything.
