		<description>I wouldn&#039;t worry too much about making it scientific.  The biggest test of any software is to determine whether or not you can us it to get your work done.  If you happen to find some neat features along the way, then good.  If not, don&#039;t worry about it.  

Most of the reasons people go all fan-boi on a software suite is because of some completely relative set of attributes.  

Also keep in mind what it really means when someone is a fan-boi.  In fact, I would argue that it has less to do with the merits of the object/software/device/etc and more to do with the merits of the choice.  

Most people have an aversion to being &#039;wrong&#039; and being in the minority can sometimes come across as having made the wrong choice.  To convince others they&#039;re the ones making the wrong choice is what fan-bois do best.</description>
