recently I learned that Mako was involved with a project to bring email to the prison population. And it got me thinking WRT OLPC and open content. This population has certain unusual restrictions on their access to computer, the internet and education and I think open content and free software could play a role. I'm not sure how but just think it could make a difference wrt an education gap that I assume is already present for this population.
