Learning go is one of my goals for while I'm in Japan, so if you ever want to play a game online, let me know! There's an old man here who's kindly agreed to play with me on Sundays, and so every week he cleans the floor with me. I don't really enjoy playing, partly because I'm a sore loser but mostly because I know I'm doing *something* wrong but I'm not sure what it is and making mistakes frustrates me. Like, I'm constantly on the verge of tears while playing. But frustration is how I know I'm actually being pushed beyond my limits which means I'm improving, so I keep on at it even though I'm not actually having fun. I don't think anyone around me understands why I play a game I don't enjoy, but I think that I'm keeping this up so that someday I will enjoy it.
