More 6-word short stories

It cost too much, staying human.

Yes. I loved you. Now forget.

I’m your future, child. Don’t cry.

Fortunately, its battery died before then.

Geez, a lot of good 6-word short stories are depressing – can somebody write a happy one?

    And they lived happily ever after.

    The pleasant surprises:
    It was better than we hoped.

    It’s less lonely in the stars.

    It’s not so bad, staying human.

    The bigger pictures:
    Upon landing on Mars, Earth triumphed.

    The simple pleasures:
    Grandmother’s cookies were always a comfort.

    Even in the darkness, she glowed.

    _Moose on Toast_ is his favorite.

    “Let them play,” she said, smiling.

    Finally finished, the machine glinted eagerly.

    (oh, there are lots of these.) (that wasn’t meant to be one.) (it’s a tough habit to break.)
